Port Authority Police Department spokesman Joe Pentangelo says detectives arrested 50-year-old Guang Zheng at 9:50 p.m. Friday near his home in Flushing

Authorities say they have captured and arrested a man suspected of stabbing another man in the head after a fight in a parking garage at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Port Authority Police Department spokesman Joe Pentangelo says detectives arrested 50-year-old Guang Zheng at 9:50 p.m. Friday near his home in Flushing. He was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

About five hours earlier, fire officials say emergency workers responded to the parking area in Terminal 8, where Zheng and another man had been scuffling.

Pentangelo says Zheng fled in a car, and the other man was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens in serious condition. Pentangelo says his injuries are not life-threatening.

It wasn't immediately known what caused the fight.

Information on a lawyer for Zheng was not available.
