Authorities are looking for the driver who fled the scene after striking and killing a 35-year-old woman walking in Brooklyn early Tuesday.
The woman, identified as Sidney Ramsarup, was walking south on 108th Street near Glenwood Road shortly before 5:30 a.m. when she was hit, police said.
Ramsarup was taken to Brookdale Hospital in cardiac arrest with severe trauma to her body and died about two hours after she was struck.
Authorities say they are looking for a tan SUV in connection with the hit-run. Collision investigators were checking to see if any nearby surveillance cameras captured the crash.
