The FDNY is battling a large blaze Wednesday afternoon at a Manhattan high-rise building, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at 1:45 p.m. at the building on 10th Avenue near 51st Street in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, authorities said. Black smoke billowed from the windows of an 11th floor apartment.
Three people were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries, firefighters said.
It was not immediately clear what started the fire in the 38-story building.
