Fire Rips Through Chelsea Building; No Injuries: Firefighters

An early-morning fire ripped through a Manhattan building, prompting dozens of firefighters to rush to the scene, fire officials say.

The blaze sparked just after 4:30 Thursday morning at 40 E. 19th Street near Broadway in Chelsea, according to firefighters.

The majority of the flames have been knocked down, but the fire was still not under control around 5:30 a.m. 

There are no reports of any injuries.
