Police are looking for two men suspected in a string of Greenwich Village burglaries where they broke into apartments from fire escapes, sometimes while the residents were home and asleep.
Police say the pair is suspected in at least five burglaries in October.
The first was on West Eighth Street at 4 p.m. on Oct. 18, the next was on Bleecker Street at 1 a.m. on Oct. 22, and just hours later, the duo struck again at 3 a.m. on West Tenth Street.
The last two burglaries were on Oct. 26 at 11:30 on West 11th Street, and Oct. 27 at 12:15 a.m. on Greenwich Avenue.
