Police are searching for a pair of robbers who posed as electricians in order to gain access to an elderly man's home in Queens Tuesday.
According to police, the robbers went to the 90-year-old victim's home in the area of 63rd Drive and Queens Boulevard in Rego Park Tuesday, Nov. 13 at about 1:30 p.m. They told the man they were electricians and needed to survey the home for problems.
Once inside the home, the suspects took cash and jewelry, and punched the man when he tried to stop them.
The victim received a black eye from the attack and did not seek further medical attention after the incident.
A neighbor of the victim told NBC 4 New York the 90-year-old man is a Holocaust survivor.
