Man Shot, Killed Near Brooklyn Subway Station: NYPD

Authorities responded to a report of a man who had been shot in East New York

A shooting in broad daylight, witnessed by several people in East New York. Police believe the victim may have been wearing a disguise. Lori Bordonaro spoke with horrified witnesses.

A 41-year-old man was fatally shot in the back of the head outside a subway station in Brooklyn Friday morning, authorities said. 

The NYPD was called to Pennsylvania and Livonia avenues in East New York at about 10:30 a.m., after getting a report of a man who was shot.

When officers arrived, they found Charles Jones, a convict who served 13 years in prison, unconscious at the scene with gunshot wounds to his head and body.

He was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

Authorities say that the suspect in the shooting was wearing construction clothes. 

Witness Annmarie Sing said that she saw a suspect pull out a gun and fire at the man three times. At least five shell casings were at the scene.

"I saw him take out the gun and shoot the man three times in the head," she said.

No arrests have been made in the case.
