A Delta Air Lines worker was injured while responding to an engine fire on a plane that landed at New York's LaGuardia Airport, authorities said.
Airport firefighters extinguished the blaze in the left engine of Delta Flight 2166 from Orlando, Florida, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The fire broke out at 10:25 p.m. Friday after the plane arrived in New York.
No passengers were injured, but a ramp worker was taken to a hospital, FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said.
Betsy Talton with Delta said the worker is doing well. The fire started after all 120 passengers had deplaned, and Delta maintenance staff is examining the aircraft, she said.
