Dozens of animals were found in a Long Island home Wednesday as the woman who lived there was being evicted, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.
Officials said close to 100 exotic birds, more than 20 cats and one dog were being removed from the Huntington home.

Some of the birds were in cat carriers and standing in 7 to 8 inches of feces, the SPCA said. The birds included macaws, parrots and African Greys. Vets were called to the scene to evaluate the animals.
The woman who lived in the home signed over the animals to the SPCA.
The organization is asking for cash donations along with bird food and supplies.
