A 31-year-old driver for an online car service was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman he drove to her New Jersey home early Monday.
The 27-year-old woman called 911 around 2 a.m. to report she had been attacked by the man in her own driveway in Wyckoff, prosecutors said.
The driver, Al-quon Hopkins, was later arrested and charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault. Prosecutors did not say what online company employed Hopkins, nor did they elaborate on whether he had a criminal history.
Hopkins, whose last known address was in Paterson, was remanded in lieu of $250,000 bail. If he makes bail at some point, he is not allowed to have contact with the victim and cannot work as a livery driver.
It wasn't immediately clear if Hopkins had an attorney who could comment on the allegations. He is due in court next month.
