Police have identified a suspect in a shooting in Brooklyn Sunday where three men were injured and shots were also fired at police officers who were responding to the scene, according to officials and witnesses.
Police say the officers were not hurt and did not return fire.
The shooting spree began at around 3:30 p.m. on Bedford Avenue and Lenox Road in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
On Monday, police released a photo of the suspect, identified as Kevon Brown, 30, of Brooklyn.
Mohammed Alcher said Sunday he saw two officers walk into the dangerous gun battle.
"I saw the two female cops walking up before I heard six loud gunshots," said Alcher.
It's unclear how many people were firing weapons.
The three wounded men were taken to Kings County Hospital, where they were listed in serious but stable condition.
