A bicyclist was killed, and six other people were hurt after a crash involving two cars near the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, officials and witnesses say.
The crash was reported at about 7 a.m. at Flatbush and Fourth avenues, according to the FDNY.
Authorities say that a 37-year-old man driving a gray Honda Pilot was heading north on Fourth Avenue when he lost control and hit a gray Toyota stopped at a red light at Dean Street, then crossed over a cement median and collided with the bicyclist. The Honda continued on and hit a black Mitsubishi that was going east on Atlantic Avenue.
Witnesses said the bicycle was hit and then dragged when the Honda tried to make the light, hitting the Toyota at the busy intersection.
Surveillance video from a nearby deli shows the Honda SUV careening through the intersection before it hit the bicyclist.
"The SUV was trying to catch the light, was speeding," said witness Abdul Abdelker.
Another witness, Joseph Weaver, said he saw the cyclist's body "go up and down." Weaver captured the aftermath on his cellphone, and said he found the driver of the SUV sitting on the ground trying to explain what happened, saying, "I don't know what 's going on when I hit the other guy."

"You know when you feel, like, dizzy?" the driver can be heard saying in the video. "I don't remember, I don't remember."
Chopper 4 footage from the scene shows a heavily damaged SUV crashed into barriers near a sidewalk with what appears to be an SUV pinned underneath.
The Mitsubishi can be seen a short distance away, and several police cruisers and emergency vehicles are blocking off the busy intersection.
Authorities say that the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Three drivers and three passengers from all the vehicles involved in the crash were taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
The busy intersection remained closed for hours Monday, with heavy traffic delays throughout the area. Drivers are advised to find different routes, if possible. The road reopened about noon.
The driver of the SUV was questioned after the crash, authorities said, but no arrests have been made. Authorities are looking into whether the driver had some kind of medical issue.
"You see this on TV, you're like 'wow, I can't believe this actually happened,'" said Weaver. "But when you see it in front of you, it's surreal. I just can't believe it."
