A mama bear and her five cubs decided to beat the heat in a backyard pool in northern New Jersey.
Tim Basso posted several videos to YouTube showing a family of black bears swimming in his family's backyard pool, using a slide and messing around with a swing set.
Basso, his wife and 3- and 5-year-old children can be heard talking about the bears in their yard, with one of the children saying, "I wish they were in someone else's back yard."
"No way! My floatie!" one of the distressed Basso kids can be heard saying.

Basso says the bears were playing with a lot of the floats in the pool and one of the cubs popped his 5-year-old's floatie "like a balloon.
"She wasn't happy about that," Basso said.
The bears left after nearly an hour.
"They're acting almost like people, hanging out in the pool -- having a good time and cooling off," Basso said.
He said his family gets bears coming through the backyard about once a year. While they're fun to watch, Basso said the bears are also cause for concern.
"I don't want to turn my back for too long on my kids if they're playing in the backyard, he said."
