A three-alarm fire that engulfed several stores on a commercial strip in the Bronx tooks hours to control Sunday.
According to officials, the fire started on East Burnside Avenue in Morris Heights just after 10:30 a.m.
The fire gutted the row of stores and caused considerable roof collapses in two of the buildings. Firefighters battled hot spots until late Sunday afternoon.
Three minor injuries to firefighters were reported.
Authorities are still investigating what caused the fire.
