One man was killed and a teenage girl and another man were wounded in a shooting on a Washington Heights street corner Thursday evening, police say.
It's not clear what sparked the shooting at 193rd Street and St. Nicholas Avenue at about 6:30 p.m.
Police say that 42-year-old Orlando Rivera was shot in the back and was pronounced dead at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital early Friday.
The other two victims were also taken to area hospitals and are in stable condition. The man, 20, was shot once in each leg. The teen, 17, was shot in the leg.
No arrests have been made in the shooting.
