Even after 50 years together Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and the rest of the Rolling Stones can still pack 'em in. The band sold out their Nov. 25 and 29 shows at the 20,000-seat O2 arena in London in just seven minutes, according to multiple sources.
The least expensive seats, which cost approximately $152, were sold out in three minutes. The most expensive seats, which top out at roughly $600, were gone four minutes later.
The demand for tickets caused Ticketmaster.com to crash.
"We're experiencing high demand. You will be automatically directed to the page requested as soon as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience," an auxiliary holding page said.
Websites that sell resale tickets have already begun to list seats. Some tickets were listed for as much as $20,050.
Two scheduled concerts in New Jersey go on sale Oct. 26, with Facebook presale beginning on Saturday.
