Kermit the Frog and Jimmy Fallon ended St. Patrick's Day with a duet on "The Tonight Show."
But before the music, the animated amphibian talked about his past appearances on the program throughout the years. Although Fallon is still green to the the late-night staple, Kermit isn't.
"I've been on with all the J-names: Jack, Johnny, Jay and Jimmy. It sounds like an Irish rap group," Kermit joked.
Kermit also brought Fallon a gift to celebrate his new tenure — a pipewrench outfitted to look like a Muppet.
According to a video from Fallon's "Late Night," Muppet creators Jim Henson, Frank Oz, and Jerry Juhl were getting ready to appear on the "Jack Parr Show" on November 15, 1964, when they became so bored that they decorated exposed pipes behind Studio 6B in Rockefeller Center as Muppet characters.
"Well Jimmy, I consider you the new keeper of the pipes," Kermit said on Monday's "Tonight Show" in announcing his gift. "I figure you're going to be around for a while. I think if you are going to have Muppet pipes you are going to need something else."

Kermit also talked about his upcoming film, "Muppets Most Wanted," which stars a fellow "SNL" alum, Tina Fey.
"There's a scene where Tina and I almost end up in the tabloids. She licks me right on the back and I was naked during the whole scene," Kermit said.
"You're naked for most of the movie," Fallon replied.
"I'm naked right now," Kermit said.
After the interview, Kermit sang his trademark song "Bein' Green."
"Don't you know that today is the easiest day to be green," Fallon reassured the frog.
