While one might have thought that Bieber's first foray into beauty would involve hair products, it turns out the pop star will be diving into fragrance -- though by taking an unconventional route.
WWD has reported that 16-year-old Justin Bieber (of "Bieber fever" notoriety) will be launching his first scent, but not in a bottle: Bieber will launch "My World," a unisex fragrance, by infusing dog tags and wristbands with the scent. The smelly products are set to hit Wal-Mart shelves on -- get ready for it -- Black Friday.
How's the smell-testing going? As Bieber told WWD -- apparently "over instant message" -- he's been directly involved with a lot of the behind-the-scenes work, spending some of his day smelling various samples. "One of them smelled too young, too fruity," the star told WWD. "One was really good."
Granted, Bieber is setting the bar at a pretty commercial level, since he apparently likes how Britney Spear's perfume smells on the ladies. "It smells good," Bieber said.
While Bieber told WWD that he was open to possibly collaborating on a new shoe line (apparently, the boy loves shoes), it sounds like his legions of fans will likely have to wait some time for him to launch any kind of hair-affiliated product, since the star also said he's considering changing his hair or even shaving it off entirely for his next album.
