Second Lawsuit Surfaces Accusing American Apparel CEO of Sexual Harassment

Just a few weeks after former employee Irene Morales filed a lawsuit accusing Charney of sexual coercion, another onetime worker and model, Kimbra Lo, has come forward to claim sexual harrasment during a meeting in his bedroom, The New York Times reports.

Lo's lawsuit alleges Charney made unwanted advances when Lo visited his home to discuss modeling opportunities for American Apparel. According to the report, three additional women have filed sexual harassment claims, but are bound by confidentiality agreements staffers sign upon being hired.

Peter Schey, Mr. Charney’s lawyer, told The New York Times that the allegations were all "an effort to shake down American Apparel."

Morales' suit has since been halted by a Brooklyn judge pending a hearing, but 3Lo took to the Today Show this morning to speak publicly about whole affair.

"I made it very clear that his actions were unwanted," Lo told The Today Show. "But he continued and became more aggressive the more I voiced my opinion."

In response, The Today Show reports Charney and his representatives issued a statement saying that it was Lo who had "aggressively pursued a relationship with Mr. Charney," and also sent the show a stack of explicit photographs they claimed were taken that same day.
