The scene was packed at Jason Wu, with everyone from Anna Wintour to Kerry Washington lining the front rows. The St. Regis was an absolutely spectacular venue for the event -- all ornate carved walls, sumptuous carpeting, and -- too cool -- a mirrored runway.
Wu added some edgy details for this collection -- there were some exposed zippers, showy seams, and even black mesh and a touch of neon. The ultra-feminine, retail-friendly dresses that Wu has really built his brand on (ahem, Michelle) were also very present in the collection, though -- tons of floucy cocktail skirts, asymmetrical shoulders, and even some bubbled hems.
