The latest trailer for "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" has arrived, and those ninjas skipping along the face of a cliff is still the coolest thing on offer. But we do have a few questions.
Will Channing Tatum get a prize for weirdest release date? The newly-minted box-office stud has two films opening on June 29, "G.I. Joe 2" and "Magic Mike." Not since Christina Hendricks unveiled"Drive" and "I Don't Know How She Does It" on Sept. 16, 2011, has someone dropped two such dissimilar films on one day. This could open up an interesting opportunity for couples who can never agree on which movie to see. Does she see the Tatum as stripper movie, while he sees Tatum as super soldier movie? Or do they go see them together back-to-back in a double-feature for a Day of Tatum. The mind reels!
And why is there so little Tatum in this trailer? We know why, and frankly we're not happy.
Show of hands--how far into the trailer did you make it before you realized that the sexy brunette was not Eva Mendes, but Adrianne Palicki? For about 90 seconds there we were wondering if maybe Mendes and The Rock were gonna be the Doris Day and Rock Hudson of our generation. Oh, well...
