If you missed the first two Brooklyn Meatups – which are now calling themselves BK Hookups – the M.O. of these singles’ nights went something like this: Pack a ginormous room full of cute hipsters, make drinks very cheap, provide nametags and things to laugh at and bond over (like an all-male wet t-shirt contest), and let love take its course. All this will be in effect for Thursday’s Valentine’s day Hookup, with one important addition: pajamas. You have to wear them.
Yep, the Valentine’s Day Pajama Party Meatup is a matchmaking slumber party (well, you won’t really stay over at Bell House, but where you wind up bed-wise is none of our business), which will feature three rounds of speed-dating (sign up ahead of time to be guaranteed a spot – these sell out), comedian Sara Schaefer (who’ll MC the event and make fun of your penguin-print PJ bottoms), free Lillet cocktails and Smuttynose IPAs from 7 to 8PM, Asia Dog’s weiners and Robicelli’s cupcakes,and a whole lot more. Bonus: Buy an advance ticket, and they’ll even pair you up with “your one true lurv (or someone close)” upon your arrival.
